What It Does

The Data Governance Platform provides the semantic and physical governance layer that makes data trustworthy across your enterprise. It connects the conceptual definitions of your business data to the physical assets that implement them — giving data stewards, architects, and business users a single governed view of what your data means and where it lives. It also includes, regulation requirements along with dimensional context and linkage of these requirements to the data concepts.

Conceptual Foundation — CEDM and DEDM

The platform is fed by CEDM and DEDM built with Visual Paradigm extracts. It could be your own models or the ones that we are currently defining using our expertise in 15 industries developed over four decades:

  • CEDM (Conceptual Enterprise Data Model) —provides the authoritative set of data concepts with their definitions and relationships, governing what data means in your organization — independent of any physical implementation.
  • DEDM (Dimensional Enterprise Data Model) — the dimensional counterpart to the CEDM, providing the analytical layer that maps business concepts to measurable, queryable dimensional structures aligned to your BI and reporting needs.

Together, the composite CEDM and DEDM represent an asset that cannot be replicated quickly — it is the accumulated product of 40+ years of enterprise data architecture practice across the following industries: Public transit, Rail transport, Air transport, Financial services (Banking, cooperatives, wealth management, insurance, cards), Collections industry, Payment and clearing systems, Life and property & casualty insurance, Telecom, Software, Distribution and retail, Media and advertising, Live entertainment, Industrial and manufacturing (and freight transport), Location risk intelligence, monitoring and crisis assistance.

Physical Asset Discovery

The platform integrates with OpenMetadata to discover, catalog, and connect physical data assets — tables, columns, pipelines, and datasets — to their governing CEDM/DEDM concepts. This bridges the gap between conceptual governance and physical implementation that most data catalog tools leave unresolved.
